Amanda is passionate about creating social impact in an enterprise model. Building her knowledge in the impact investing space, she currently works in an impact investing firm in Bangalore to better understand the investment and enterprise habits that optimise social impact. Amanda aims to use the skills gained from her time as an IDEX Fellow in India to add value to future start ups back home in Australia and abroad. She also hopes to be able to conduct at least one un-assisted street crossing on a Bangalore road before the six months is up.

Leland Holcomb’s comes to us from the United States and has a diverse background rooted in a passion for public policy, business development, and law as evidenced by his positions as an intern in the Office of Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro, intern for Assembly member Adrin Nazarian in Van Nuys, California, USA, project coordinator for the Sonoma County Economic Development Board, and legal assistant in a bankruptcy and business law firm. Leland has developed and managed programs that support and boost local business and has been active in research and analysis on a host of topics, including air quality, water use, job readiness programs, and demographic trends. Leland is placed with Unitus Impact where he hopes to delve more deeply into impact investing as a development tool to improve the livelihoods of the working poor in the developing world.
